Madison tried out for the LPMS Cheer Squad and made it! She is so excited. She completed a week of cheer camp during the summer which taught her many cheers, dances and lots of information on how to be a great cheerleader. Her cheer coach provided daily handouts that showed the ins/outs of proper and safe cheering. It also included tips on how to be the best leader that you can be on the squad and in your school. At any time, you can hear cheers, music and shout outs in our home from our cheerleader. She's enthusiastic and always practicing. She's going to do great! The first game is scheduled for mid-September. The team debuted their dances,stunts and cheers immediately following the end of cheer camp. They had their first community event this past weekend at the Caladium Festival. They performed a couple of dances and several cheers. They all did great and the crowd loved them! We're waiting on the official cheer photos, in the meantime enjoy these that I took after cheer camp.
